1. DO YOU OFFER VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN MENUS?
If vegetarian meals are requested, we will work with you to develop a vegetarian option for your guests
2. DO YOU OFFER DECORATING SERVICES?
No, we do not. However Classic Café Catering and Event Center can provide colored table linens and napkins in an effort to coordinate with centerpieces or color schemes.
However, we do provide table skirting for food, cake, gift, and appetizer tables. Buffet tables are also attractively decorated, further adding to the presentation of the food. If you would like to have the facility professionally decorated we can confidently say that All Occasions Party Rental, Party Apart, or Bob Muttons Party and Tent Rental do an excellent job.
3. CAN YOU CREATE CUSTOM MENUS FOR AN EVENT?
Yes, in fact, most of the events we professionally cater are customized specifically for our guests.
4. DO YOU PROVIDE BARTENDERS OR BAR SERVICES?
Classic Café Catering and Event Center provides on site and off site bar service. See bar pricing under our Facilities page.
5. DO YOU PROVIDE DECORATED WEDDING CAKES OR OTHER SPECIAL DESSERTS?
We do not provide decorated cakes but we can provide suggestions.
6. WHAT IS OUR LEFT OVER POLICY?
We do not allow our guests to take left overs. Classic Café Catering and Event Center, in an effort to never run out of food (thus avoiding a possible embarrassing situation), prepares extra food at our expense. We also honor our insurance companies request to discard any left overs to avoid possible litigation of a food poisoning outbreak due to improperly handled food.
7. DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR CHINA, GLASSWARE, TABLE LINENS, COFFEE SERVICE, OR OTHER SPECIAL REQUESTS?
Yes, we do. Please review our surcharge section on our Menus page. Special requests can be discussed during our initial meeting or phone conversation. If we can’t assist you in a special request, we can refer you to someone who has the expertise required to do so.
8. WHEN ARE FINAL GUEST COUNTS REQUIRED?
In most cases, any event held on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, we will need the expected guest count called into the office on the Wednesday prior to the date of your event. All other deadlines can be discussed during our meetings.
9. WHAT DOES THE FINAL EXPECTED GUEST COUNT MEAN?
The count called into our office will be the number of meals prepared plus a few extra, (at our expense). It is the number that we will use in calculating the total food cost portion of your bill.
10. DOES CLASSIC CAFÉ CATERING AND EVENT CENTER CHARGE A SERVICE CHARGE OR GRATUITY?
Yes we do, however not in all instances. Our normal gratuity surcharge is 15% of food charges only. Indiana sales tax of 8% is not included in service gratuity amount. The service gratuity is greatly reduced for non-profit organizations, churches, church groups, schools, fund raisers, and at some area faculties that charge us, and all caterers, a 15% catering fee owed to the facility. As a result we greatly reduce our service gratuity fee in an effort to be fair and keep your total catering service costs as low as possible.
